What We Do
The Newark Opportunity Youth Network’s (NOYN) Re-Engagement Center is designed to attract and intake young people who are between 16-24 years old for job training skills and industry-recognized certifications in construction, healthcare, and technology, while earning a high school diploma.
The Newark Opportunity Youth Network’s mission is three-fold:
- To establish exceptional, world-class public schools and education programs for opportunity youth that harness the intelligence and positive energy of low-income young people.
- To prove young people can achieve positive post-secondary outcomes despite overwhelming odds
- To advocate for change public policies that inhibit their success.
Recognizing that young people are one of the greatest resources available to the survival of our community, we will be a professional learning organization that cultivates and rewards innovation, and fosters collaboration within and across network components.
